The xanthelasmata is yellowish plaques of fat that often accumulate under the skin of the eyelids. In some patients associated with elevated cholesterol, but more than half do not know the cause.

The removal is done with or without blepharoplasty, RF and chemical peeling. These lesions may occur again, if there is a predisposition or if cholesterol is not reduced.
